I went with El Dorado Audubon looking at Vaux's Swifts roosting. It was fantastic. Here we're on top of Joe's Parking Garage at 440 S. Broadway looking up towards the Spring Arts Tower.

Jeremy restarted his summer camp. I got to go pick him up one day and saw this Osprey. Taken with an iPhone 4s, handheld to his Zeiss Victory 8x32 binoculars. Cropped. No filters.

Super Moon!

Here's a photo of the so called "supermoon" of a couple of nights ago. I took it with my iPhone 4s, hand-holding it next to Minox 8x42 binoculars. I cropped and sharpened it, otherwise no other post-processing it. It took me about 3 hours (and a bunch of blurry pics) to finally get it!

Reading Club

Jeremy has finished Coma now; I still have about 125 pages to go. He's starting Dune tomorrow. This was his pick; it's certainly an intimidating book for me; we'll see how it goes...

Planespotting 05/13/13

Went planespotting at LAX yesterday. Highlights included a Cathay Pacific Boeing 777, British Airways Boeing 747 (featuring the "One World" livery), a Singapore Airlines Airbus Industries A380, and an Air France Airbus Industries A380. Here's some photos and videos....
